Name: Minamoto-no-Raikou (Berserker)

Personality: Calm and mature, Raikou is a kind woman with seemingly never-ending patience for those around her. She possesses a natural maternal aura and can't help but care for and nurture others. Wishing to be viewed as a mother, she will refer to herself as one as well as encourage those close to her to do the same.

She has a strong resolve to keep her loved ones safe, in particular her Master or any other she might view as her beloved. Unable to differentiate between platonic, romantic, and maternal love, Raikou's doting might come off as uncomfortable to those unlucky enough to become the target of her affection. With such intense devotion, her mind has become warped and she finds herself going into uncontrollable mood swings whenever they pay more attention to other women. Fits of rage, crying, and strong desires of keeping them all to herself. Though she could be considered deranged, she believes her intent to be pure.

History: Minamoto-no-Raikou, historically the eldest son of the Minamoto family, now taking the form of an older woman as a servant fighting for the Chaldea Security Organization. Born as an oni named Ushi Gozen, she was whisked away by her mother to protect her from the Samurai sent to murder her child. Her mother left her by a temple in neighbor province, where she spent the next fifteen years of her life.

One day, a messenger was sent to the temple to inform Ushi Gozen that her father wished for her return to the capital, where she was then given the new name of Minamoto no Raikou as well as a new purpose--to become the next heir to the family. In order to prove her worth, Raikou had to engage in battles to protect her family. Being part oni, her strength was unfathomable and she became a ruthless killing machine. The strength of a mere man was nothing against her.

While she had proven herself to be a capable warrior and was surrounded by her loved ones, Raikou could never detach from the oni part of herself. She believed if she really loved her friends and family--if she really wanted to live up to her fathers expectations--then she had to dispose of Ushi Gozen.

Accompanied by Sakata Kintoki, they traveled across the province where she awakened Ushi Gozen within her, who then manifested into a seperate being. The two of them fought, Raikou's intent being to slaughter Ushi Gozen, knowing doing so would also end her own life. For she would rather die as a human than an oni.

Raikou's suicide was interrupted by Kintoki who, after crying and begging for her to stop, fought her himself. After he unleashed a lightning strike, Ushi Gozen relented as she fell to the ground unconscious, and ever since that day she's never been seen again.

Now, Raikou has been summoned to fight for the Chaldea Security Organization. Spending her days coddling Kintoki and her master, Raikou's living a pleasant life with those she loves the most.

WARNINGS

♦ Raikou wishes to be viewed as a mother by those dear to her, and that includes her lover. She truly sees nothing wrong with being someone's mother and lover at the same time. If we're going to play something shippy I'll make sure to warn of this ahead of time and we can skip this over if you are not into it.

♦ In general she's very touchy and affectionate, she may try to (forcibly) become your characters adoptive mother. If anything I do makes you uncomfortable, please PM me telling me so and I'll tone it down/we can discuss how to proceed. It won't bother or upset me at all, as the last thing I want is to make someone uncomfortable.
